Warrington Youth Zone is a purpose-built state of the art facility for the town’s young people aged 7–19, and up to 25 for those with additional needs. Inside the Youth Zone young people can enjoy over 20 fun and engaging activities every day including sports, arts, music, media, dance, drama, cooking, employability and enterprise workshops, and much more.
Every young person deserves a safe environment where they can develop and learn as well as receiving guidance and support from adults and peers.
This need does not suddenly stop when the bell rings at the end of the school day, or on weekends and holidays.
But 75% of young people spend most of their free time at home. Plus 2 of 3 council run youth centres have closed in the last 10 years.
Through opportunities and challenges, Warrington Youth Zone inspires young people to lead healthier, happier, more positive lives; raising their aspirations to become caring and responsible citizens with more to offer themselves, their families, the community, and employers.
Warrington Youth Zone believes in ‘Inspiring young people to achieve’. They support young people’s development, offering opportunities to gain, increase and develop skills, knowledge, self awareness and confidence, and enabling them to make positive and healthy life choices through our wide range of programmes aimed at different age groups.
On a typical day, 250 young people visit Warrington Youth Zone. Looking for somewhere to go, something to do, and someone to talk to.
